Terms of use
Last updated 15 August 2026
These terms apply to FutureMoney, a personal project run by Drew Loynes. By using it you accept them. If you do not, please do not use it.
What FutureMoney is
A tool for projecting your own cash flow. You enter your balances and the payments you expect, and it works out what that means for your balance over time. It is arithmetic on figures you provide.
What it is not
FutureMoney is not financial advice. It does not know your circumstances, it cannot tell you what to do with your money, and nothing it shows you should be treated as a recommendation. A forecast is only ever as good as the figures typed into it, and the future does not consult it. If you are making a decision that matters, speak to someone qualified.
It has no connection to any bank. Every figure in it was entered by hand, and it cannot see or verify your real accounts. Exchange rates, where used, are a single published rate frozen across the whole forecast: they are an illustration, not a prediction of what any currency will do.
Your account
You are responsible for keeping your sign-in secure and for what happens under your account. You must be at least 16 to create one. Tell us at futuremoney@drew.moi if you think somebody else has access to it.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- break the law with it, or use it to harm anyone;
- try to reach data that is not yours, get around its limits, or interfere with how it runs for other people;
- hammer it automatically, or use it in a way designed to run up cost or exhaust its capacity;
- resell it or present it as your own.
We may suspend or remove an account that does any of these, or that is being used in a way that puts the service at risk.
Your data
What you enter is yours. We claim no ownership of it and do not use it for anything beyond running the service. See the privacy policy. You can delete your account and everything in it at any time, and that deletion is permanent.
Availability
FutureMoney is free, offered as it is, and run as a personal project. It may be slow, unavailable, changed, or withdrawn entirely, at any time and without notice. We do not promise it will keep working, keep your data, or continue to exist. Keep your own record of anything you would mind losing.
No warranties
To the fullest extent the law allows, FutureMoney is provided “as is” and “as available”, with no warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. That includes any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or uninterrupted or error-free operation. We do not warrant that its calculations are correct or that its output is suitable for any purpose.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Drew Loynes is not liable to you for any loss or damage arising from your use of FutureMoney or from being unable to use it. That includes, without limitation:
- any financial decision made in reliance on a forecast, figure or chart shown by the service;
- loss of profit, income, savings, opportunity, goodwill or anticipated benefit;
- loss or corruption of data, including scenarios you entered;
- any indirect or consequential loss of any kind.
Where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, it is limited to the amount you have paid to use FutureMoney, which is nothing.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. If you use FutureMoney as a consumer, you keep your legal rights as one, and nothing here affects them.
Ending it
You can stop using FutureMoney whenever you like, and delete your account from the account page. We may end your access if you break these terms, or if the service is withdrawn.
Changes
These terms may change. The date at the top changes with them, and continuing to use FutureMoney afterwards means the new version applies.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and its courts have exclusive jurisdiction.
